ABOUT CLARKE COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALL
CCYFL is a competitive youth football organization based in Berryville, VA, with our home field located at Johnson Williams Middle School.
Our flagship program is our fall travel tackle football league, which is designed for athletes who are ready to compete, commit, and develop at a high level. CCYFL is rooted in the instruction and development of safe, fundamental techniques in all aspects of the game, with an emphasis on accountability, effort, and team-first play.
In the spring, CCYFL offers a flag football recreation league focused on skill development and having fun learning the game.
PROGRAMS OFFERED
SPRING FLAG
Spring Flag Football is a co-ed league open to PK–8th grade athletes. This 7-week recreational program is designed to be fun, fast-paced, and instructional, with Sunday games scheduled to avoid conflicts with other spring sports. Practices typically begin in mid-April and run through mid-June, making it a great way for players to stay active and enjoy football in a low-pressure environment.
FALL FLAG
Fall Flag Football is a co-ed league for PK–1st grade athletes and is designed as a fun, introductory experience for young players learning the game of football. CCYFL partners with Frederick County Parks and Recreation, with all games played in Frederick County. For families looking ahead, tackle football is available beginning at 2nd grade for players ready to take the next step in the fall.
TACKLE
Our Fall Tackle Football program is a competitive travel league for co-ed athletes in 2nd–7th grade and competes under the Shenandoah Valley Youth Football League. Designed for players seeking a higher level of competition, commitment, and skill development, the program emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and safety. Teams travel for Saturday games throughout the I-81 corridor, including Luray, Mt. Jackson, Page County, Strasburg, and Woodstock.
